Atlasly for
Atlasly for landscape architects
From canopy and BNG to terrain and shadow, Atlasly pulls the environmental evidence landscape architects need into a single workspace. Build the case before the first concept sketch.
Jobs we cover
Biodiversity baseline and BNG
Map existing habitats, NDVI canopy cover, and ancient woodland buffers. Frame your BNG strategy with credible baseline evidence.
Terrain and microclimate
Free LIDAR-derived contours, slope, aspect, and an Urban Heat Island reading from satellite thermal bands.
Blue-green infrastructure context
SuDS opportunity zones from soil, slope and impervious cover. Tree pit and rain garden suitability.
Common workflows
BNG baseline pack
- 1Define site boundary
- 2Auto-classify habitats from satellite + OS data
- 3Pull ancient woodland and TPO layers
- 4Export evidence pack for the metric input
Solar and shadow study
- 1Set date and time range
- 2Run hourly sun-path on the 3D model
- 3Identify shaded amenity space
- 4Annotate and export

Questions
Does Atlasly map canopy from satellite?
Yes, we derive canopy cover from Sentinel-2 NDVI and high-resolution imagery, calibrated to LIDAR-derived canopy height where available.
Can I run a BNG metric inside Atlasly?
We produce the baseline evidence pack and habitat classification. The statutory metric calculation runs in DEFRA's spreadsheet using our outputs as inputs.
