    What we collect

Depends on how you use Atlasly.

If you create an account. Name, email, and authentication data handled by our sign-in provider. We do not store your password.

If you run a site or upload files. Addresses, boundaries, and other site inputs you type or draw; project records; and files you upload. Photographs for Image to CAD may be processed on our servers after a local preview. Scans, drawings, and sketches on that tool are converted in the browser on your device. Processing arrangements for other upload types have not yet been confirmed.

If you pay. Billing name, email, and payment status through our payment provider. We do not see full card numbers.

If you email us. The contents of the message, your address, and any files you attach.

We do not buy marketing lists. We do not claim a customer count or a star rating as personal data.

    Why we use it

Purpose / Legal basis (UK GDPR):

    • Run the site, keep you signed in, remember projects: Contract, or legitimate interests in operating the service
    • First-pass site screens you request: Contract
    • Paid plans, invoices, fraud checks: Contract; legal obligation for tax records
    • Understand which pages are used (website analytics): Legitimate interests. It loads on the public website and is not controlled by the product analytics choice below.
    • Understand how the product is used (product analytics): It is on by default unless you turn it off below. The basis for this processing has not yet been confirmed. Default-on collection does not represent your consent.
    • Reply to email: Legitimate interests, or contract if you are a customer
    • Security and abuse prevention: Legitimate interests

    Service providers

We use service providers for sign-in, application data storage, payments, hosting, security and analytics. Mapping services may also process requests when you use maps, address searches or elevation information.

Website analytics and product analytics have separate controls, as explained below. Contact us for more information about the providers involved in processing your data.

    Where data is stored

Some service providers are based outside the UK. Hosting locations and applicable transfer arrangements have not yet been confirmed in this policy. If you need a data processing agreement or a specific region requirement, contact us. A discussion of region requirements does not establish that UK or EU-only hosting is in place.

    How long we keep it

Retention periods for accounts, site files, analytics and correspondence have not yet been specified.

You can ask us to delete an account by emailing [email protected]. Backup and log copies may remain after deletion; their retention periods have not yet been specified.

    Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate Atlasly, remember your preferences and understand how the website and product are used.

    Essential cookies

These support sign-in, security and saved preferences, including your analytics choice. They are needed to provide the service and are not controlled by the product analytics setting below.

    Website analytics

These help us understand visits to the public website, including pages viewed and device information. Website analytics runs separately from product analytics and is not disabled by the setting below. You can manage or block it through your browser settings or privacy tools.

    Product analytics

These help us understand feature use and improve the product. They may use a visitor identifier to connect activity across visits and include session replay with typed input masked. Product analytics is enabled by default and may run before you make a choice. You can turn it off below without losing access to product features.

Turning product analytics off saves your preference in this browser and reloads the page. It remains off on later visits unless you turn it back on or clear browser storage. This does not disable website analytics or records needed to operate the service, and does not delete information already collected.

This setting applies to product analytics in this browser. Changing it reloads the page.

    Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct, delete, or restrict your personal data, to object to some processing, and to receive a copy (data portability) where that right applies. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint).

We will need enough information to find your account. Do not send extra identity documents unless we ask.

    Children

Atlasly is aimed at practising architects and related professionals, not at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

    Changes

We will update this page when the facts change. The date at the top shows when it was last updated. Email us if something here is wrong.
