    Use Class Order

    England's classification system for permitted land uses.

    Definition

    The Town and Country Planning (Use Classes) Order groups uses into classes (E, F, C, B, sui generis). Changes within a class do not require planning permission. Class E (commercial, business, service) was introduced in 2020 and merges shops, offices, gyms, and restaurants.
