    Density (dwellings per hectare)

    Number of dwellings per hectare of net residential land.

    Definition

    Common UK density metric. Suburban schemes ~30 dph; urban infill 80 to 200 dph; central London 200 to 600+ dph. Always paired with bedspace density (hr/ha) for accurate comparison.
